What we collect. Only the email address you give us when you subscribe, and the time you gave consent.

Purpose. To send you the VATS Up weekly email. Nothing else. We do not sell or share your address.

Legal basis. Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Storage. Your address is stored securely by our hosting provider.

Unsubscribing. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies and tracking. This site sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics or trackers.

Visitor statistics. We count page views, clicks on paper links (publisher, PubMed, PDF, reel), newsletter sign-ups and sponsor views and clicks, together with the referring website's name (for example instagram.com), device type (mobile or desktop) and country. To count unique visitors per day without cookies, we combine your IP address and browser details with a secret value that changes every day and keep only a one-way scrambled code. Your IP address and full browser details are never stored, and yesterday's codes cannot be linked to today's. Bots are excluded. Only totals are published, and any figure based on fewer than five visitors is hidden. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
